I am honored to have been chosen as Lyons’ next mayor. I am very grateful to the people that helped in my campaign and to all of the citizens of Lyons that took time out of their day to share their concerns and ideas.

Julie Van Domelen is the new mayor of Lyons. Van Domelen won the mayor race in a landslide. She received 614 votes and her opponent, Tina Schooler, received 117 votes.

For the first time in anyone’s memory, two women are running for the position of mayor of Lyons. Both Tina Schooler, 51, and Julie Van Domelen, 48, have actively worked in the community on committees, boards, commissions and at events.
