YONS – The Lyons Town Board has received from town attorney Tim Cox a summary and update on the new medical marijuana law, House Bill 1284, signed into law by Gov. John Ritter on June 7.

COLORADO – After much debate Colorado House Bill 1284, regulating medical marijuana dispensaries, went to Governor Bill Ritter and is awaiting his signature.

The House agreed to the changes made in the Senate on May 11 and readopted the bill by a 46-to-19 vote. It is expected that Governor Ritter will sign the bill (but not clear when) since it includes provisions that he requested.

FORT COLLINS – After spending nearly 10 years in prison when he was convicted of killing Peggy Hettrick in 1999, a judge overturned the conviction of Tim Masters in 2008 citing DNA evidence found on the victim’s clothing did not match Masters’.
