LYONS – When I was in college, studying genetics and psychology and all the other subjects involved in a liberal arts education, scientists were convinced that people’s personalities were largely the product of their upbringing. In the great nature-nurture controversy, they were on the side of nurture. Your early environment, parenting and role models made all the difference in determining your ways in the world.
