LYONS – There is a growing body of evidence confirming the critical role that entrepreneurs and small businesses play in driving local and national economies.

One of the goals we have in LEGG is to work with many people and groups in the community to create an environment in which the creative class can live, work and prosper. We try to do everything we can to encourage innovation by encouraging innovators, i.e. entrepreneurs, and the businesses that they start in Lyons. Our job is to provide an array of business support services to local businesses so that the community retains those businesses and perhaps helps to create new ones.

LYONS – The Lyons Economic Gardening Group is working to help businesses succeed in the small community of Lyons by lending the expertise of local experts to business owners. Recently LEGG met with Georgia English, owner and operator of The Upholstery Shop, 401 Main St.

LYONS – LEGG, Lyons Economic Gardening Group, tries to maintain relationships with many Colorado resources that provide services in order to make them available to Colorado small businesses. One of those great resources is the Rocky Mountain MicroFinance Institute, RMMFI. The following is a summary of who it is and what it does.

LYONS – Lyons Economic Gardening Group, LEGG, has had the privilege of working with over 20 local businesses in the last two years. LEGG assistance is available on a no-charge basis (that’s free) to Lyons Chamber of Commerce members. One chamber member with whom LEGG recently met is Spike Productions, and its founder and president, Cat Russell.

LYONS – Recently Lyons Economic Gardening Group, LEGG, a branch of the Lyons Area Chamber of Commerce, sponsored a seminar on website basics. Over 30 people attended. The presenters, Jeff Gagliardi and Bill VanLeeuwen, covered the three phases of website development.
