LYONS – Lyons is a closely knit small town but its residents face many of the same problems plaguing today’s world economy. The Lyons Community Foundation’s advisory board recognized that there was a great need in our community for a way to lend a helping hand to individuals and families with an urgent need. That’s where the Lyons Community Foundation’s Basic Needs and Emergency Fund, BN&EF, comes in.

The Lyons Community Foundation’s (LCF) 2010 Advisory Board has gotten right to work, picking up where the 2009 board left off. Both the new and continuing board members are enthusiastic about fulfilling the mission of the LCF to encourage positive change for the greater Lyons area.

Things are changing in Lyons with Main Street renovations with new business, or previous businesses becoming new, expanding or relocating. It is exciting. And the Lyons Community Foundation also has its upcoming changes with six new advisory board members. Welcome to Andrew Biel, Clark Hodge, Gabry Cornell, Jayne Rhode, Pat Journeay and Roger Flynn as new incoming LCF Advisory Board members for 2010.
