LYONS – The April Lyons Chamber Social was sponsored by Valley Bank, Greenwood and Gwynne’s Greenhouse, and held at Valley Bank. It was a fundraiser for Greenwood with help from Gwynne’s donating flower starts, which were in turn purchased by chamber members to support Greenwood. It also was to honor Earth Day. Thanks to the great sponsors for a great event.

Appropriate credit will be given to the media but its use is not guaranteed. The chamber will add the photos to its stock image library. Please contact John Burke of the LACC publicity committee at jburke@visability.com for more information.

On June 5 the second beer brewing series will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on June 5 at the Lyons Farmette. The cost is $35 per class. Brewing class number three will be held on July 10.
At the second class (aside from enjoying the fruits of the first brewing session) we’ll conduct a mini-mash to augment malt extract. Mashing allows the brewer to experiment with a much wider variety of grains for a wider range of flavor and color. We’ll also bottle a portion of the first class’ batch. Please RSVP to betsyburton@mac.com.
