Chamber news and notes
Redstone Review
Spring is coming, and so this month the Chamber Networking Social, taking place from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday April 22 at Valley Bank and Trust, will be a triple celebration of Earth Day, spring and Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation. Greenwood has been part of our community for more than 27 years with a mission to rehabilitate sick, injured and orphaned wildlife for release back into the wild. The chamber will request donations at the door of $5 with 100 percent of the money collected going to support Greenwood. For each donation of $5 you will get a ticket good for a four-pack of spring annuals from Gwynne’s Greenhouse. What a great way to celebrate Earth Day and get a head start on your garden. You can RSVP via email at admin@lyons-colorado.com or by calling 303-823-5215.
In May the lot at 446 Main St. between St. Vrain Pharmacy and Cilantro Mary’s will be transformed back into Lyons’ lively and colorful outdoor market, when the market reopens on May 15 with a large variety of music, artists, gourmet food and unique retailers every Saturday from May 15th through October. More info is available at http://www.lyonsoutdoormarket.com.
Then in June the Lyons Outdoor Games Festival on the St. Vrain River will take place. On June 11, 12, and 13 there will be kayak races, water rodeos, food, games and more events. For information go to www.lyonsoutdoorgames.com. This event will be brought to you by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Events and a host of local sponsors.
Finally, on June 25 and 26, we’ll all again celebrate Lyons Good Old Days, with a carnival, KidSpace, arts and crafts, live entertainment, food and beer garden, softball tournament and more events.
We at the chamber are looking forward to these community events to show off our newly renovated and landscaped town center.
