Expansion, Earth Day and fall enrollment for Montessori

LYONS – The only private school in Lyons is enjoying its recent expansion. The new preschool classroom is directly next to the original classroom on Main Street. The school added 1,000 square feet to its existing class room in back of what used to be Nick Angelo Fine Arts. Nick Angelo Fine Arts has moved to 4089 Ute Hwy., across from the “Welcome to Lyons” sign. Nick Angelo Fine Arts is owned and operated by Nick Angelo, a twice-former mayor of Lyons.

LYONS – It has been a long cold winter in Lyons, but things are looking up. The orange cones and barrels are finally gone along with the mud and the piles of dirt on the side streets and all the heavy equipment. The new sidewalks are in with sandstone accents and the new street lights create a wonderful soft light all over the downtown.

LYONS – The Town of Lyons, working with Colorado State University design students and professor Mike Tupa, professor of landscape architect at CSU, and with the Colorado Department of Local Affairs, hosted an open house on February 10 to solicit discussion regarding the possible future expansion of the Lyons Library.
